AUTUMN ALCHEMY 🍂

A seasonal afternoon to make, move, eat & slow down

Saturday 17 October 2026 | 1:00–4:00pm | Warmington

As the season turns and autumn settles in, join me for a relaxed afternoon inspired by the plants, food, movement and traditions of the season.

We'll spend three hours learning, making, moving, eating and simply enjoying autumn together.

What we'll do

🌿 A gentle autumn herbal walk

Weather permitting, we'll take a gentle walk around Warmington to notice the plants and herbs of the season and learn a little about their traditional uses and place in autumn.

If the weather doesn't cooperate, we'll bring the seasonal plant exploration indoors.

🌱 Hands-on botanical craft

We'll make a simple seasonal botanical creation to take home.

The exact craft will be guided by the season and what I'm working with at the time, so there will be a little element of discovery on the day.

🥣 Warming food & seasonal nourishment

We'll share a warming kitchari tasting while I introduce some ideas from Chinese dietary therapy in a cooking demo and seasonal eating — including how autumn's change of season can influence the way we think about warmth, nourishment and food.

You'll also receive the recipe to make at home.

☯️ Gentle Qi Gong

We'll finish with a gentle seasonal Qi Gong practice, giving you a chance to breathe, move and settle into the afternoon.

No previous Qi Gong experience is needed.

🌼 Chrysanthemum tea, tea & cake

We'll finish with something warm to drink, a little cake and time to simply enjoy being together.

🍂 A LITTLE CHINESE AUTUMN TRADITION

The workshop falls just one day before Double Ninth — Chongyang, which takes place on Sunday 18 October this year.

Double Ninth is a traditional Chinese autumn festival associated with chrysanthemums, spending time outdoors, seasonal food and gathering with others. In its modern form, it is also a day for honouring and spending time with older generations. Remitly

Those ideas feel particularly fitting for Autumn Alchemy.

It's an afternoon to step outside, connect with the season, learn something new, make something with your hands, nourish yourself, move gently and enjoy time together.

And if you'd like to bring someone special with you, there's a little reason to do so...

🍂 MAKE IT AN AFTERNOON TO SHARE

Your place £45

Bring a friend or family member for £20

£65 for two people

Whether it's a friend, partner, parent, grandparent or someone else you'd simply enjoy spending an autumn afternoon with, you're very welcome to come together.

The £20 companion rate is available for bookings made by 10 October 2026.

You don't need any previous experience.

Just come prepared to spend a few hours slowing down and enjoying autumn.

Places will be limited to keep the workshop small and hands-on.

1:00–4:00pm | Warmington Village Hall

£45 per person

https://peaksandpointsacup.janeapp.co.uk/#/discipline/4/treatment/26

If the weather doesn't cooperate, the outdoor portion will be adapted into an indoor seasonal plant and herbal exploration.

A little more from Peaks & Points

I'm also continuing my Tai Chi & Qi Gong instructor training this autumn, and I'll be sharing more about upcoming regular local classes at the workshop.

Restore and Rebalance: Qi Gong + NADA for Perimenopause & Menopause

  • Thursday, August 6, 2026
  • 6:30 PM 7:30 PM
  • 35 Church St. (map)
  • Google Calendar ICS

Feeling tired, overstimulated, or sleeping poorly in the heat?

Come give your nervous system a chance to reset with gentle Qi Gong and deeply relaxing NADA ear acupuncture.

Restore & Rebalance: Qi Gong + NADA Ear Acupuncture

Join us for a calming and restorative workshop designed to help you step out of the busyness of everyday life and give your nervous system a chance to reset.

Whether you’re feeling tired from the heat, sleeping poorly, juggling work and family, recovering from a busy holiday season, navigating hormonal changes, or simply craving a moment of calm, this workshop offers gentle support for both body and mind.

We’ll begin with a gentle Qi Gong practice, using slow, flowing movement and breath to release tension, regulate the nervous system, and restore a sense of grounding and balance. This practice is suitable for all levels, including complete beginners. Weather permitting, we may practice in the garden.

Following this, you’ll be introduced to the NADA (National Acupuncture Detoxification Association) ear acupuncture protocol—a simple yet deeply relaxing treatment used around the world to support the body during times of stress, transition, fatigue, and emotional overwhelm.

Many people find NADA helpful for:

  • Stress and nervous-system overload

  • Poor sleep or restless nights

  • Fatigue and feeling “wired but tired”

  • Anxiety, overwhelm, or a busy mind

  • Tension and difficulty switching off

  • Hormonal transitions, including perimenopause and menopause

You’ll then be invited to rest quietly during a group ear acupuncture session, allowing your body time to settle, recharge, and integrate the experience in a peaceful and supportive space.

This workshop is for anyone who is:

  • Feeling stressed, tired, or emotionally overwhelmed

  • Sleeping less well than usual

  • Looking for natural, holistic support

  • Interested in gentle practices for relaxation and wellbeing

  • Curious about acupuncture in a welcoming, no-pressure environment

No experience with Qi Gong or acupuncture is needed.

This is an opportunity to pause, breathe, and restore—to give yourself an hour of quiet support in the middle of a demanding season.

Leave feeling calmer, more grounded, and more balanced.

Join us for a gentle and informative evening focused on overall health with emphasis on women’s health, herbal support, and practical tools for navigating issues around stress and perimenopause and menopause naturally.

We’ll begin the evening with a grounding Qi Gong routine designed to calm the nervous system, regulate stress, and help you settle into the space before we move into an introduction to herbal plants traditionally used to support women’s health.

Do you often feel tired after eating, experience bloating, or struggle with energy dips throughout the day?

In this introductory workshop, you’ll discover a different way of understanding food—through the lens of Chinese Medicine. Rather than focusing on calories or restrictive diets, this approach looks at how food supports your body’s natural energy, digestion, and overall balance.

This session is designed to be simple, practical, and easy to apply—no prior knowledge needed.

This workshop is ideal if you:

  • Feel fatigued or sluggish, especially after meals

  • Experience bloating or digestive discomfort

  • Find yourself craving sugar or caffeine for energy

  • Are curious about natural, holistic approaches to health

  • Want to better understand what your body needs

During this 60-minute session, you will:

  • Be introduced to the foundations of Chinese Dietary Therapy

  • Understand how digestion relates to your energy levels

  • Learn why certain foods may be contributing to fatigue and bloating

  • Discover simple ways to support your energy through everyday meals

  • Gain practical tips you can begin using immediately

Chinese Medicine views each person as unique. While this workshop will introduce general principles, it will also help you begin to recognize your own patterns and how food may be affecting you.

This workshop is part of an ongoing series exploring Chinese Dietary Therapy and its role in supporting different aspects of health, including digestion, energy, hormonal balance, and seasonal wellbeing.

These sessions are also designed as an introduction to personalised Chinese Dietary Therapy consultations, which will be offered at the clinic in the near future.

Spaces will be limited to keep the workshop interactive and personalized.

If you’re ready to start understanding your body in a new way and learn how to support your energy naturally, this is a great place to begin.
